They should be standing inside us
and shiver when we tremble
their voices through our tongues.

They march towards us but
they fade before a page is read
in sonnets, words well chosen.

    Good Lord, Ina. That first stanza is as good as poetry gets! There is an originality there that shivers through the reader. This is simply not a common run of the mill poem. Wow!
