Blog of the year 2012 award

John Clinock art and My pen and me have nomintated me for this award, thank you very much both!

– The ‘rules’ for this award are simple:

Select another blog or other blogs who deserve the ‘Blog of the Year 2012’ Award;
Write a blog post and tell us about the blog(s) you have chosen – there’s no minimum or maximum number of blogs required – and ‘present’ them with their award;
Include a link back to this page ‘Blog of the Year 2012’thethoughtpalette.our-awards/blog-of-the-year-2012-award and provide these ‘rules’ in your post (please don’t alter the rules or the badges!)
Let the blog(s) you have chosen know that you have given them this award and share the ‘rules’ with them
You can now also join our Facebook group – click ‘like’ on this page facebook blog of the year group and then you can share your blog with an even wider audience
As a winner of the award – please add a link back to the blog that presented you with the award – and then proudly display the award on your blog and sidebar … and start collecting stars…
There are stars to collect! Yes, there are stars to collect! Unlike other awards, which you can only add to your blog once – this award is different! When you begin you will receive the 1 star award, and every time you are given the award by another blog, you can add another star!
There are total of 6 stars to collect. At which time your “badge” will look like this: Blog of the Year Award 6 star thumbnail

You can check out your favourite blogs, and even if someone else has already given them the award, you can still award them again and help them to reach the maximum 6 stars!

I am nominating for this award:

John Clinock for the wonderful mixture of art and poetry

Christine for the beauty and love in her poetry about life and its ups and downs

Contemplative Moorings for the beautiful poems

Counting Ducks for his great postings of human interest

Kvenna Ràd for the very good poems!

Harry (dribbling pensioner) for his funny and interesting entries

not necessarily we are strangers
maybe a smile would alter that right now
if we could forget about the dangers
and if only we could remember how.

I am very honoured to have been nominated / given these awards recently:

The Kreativ Blogger award, by  bardessdmdenton  who has a beautiful blog, combining her poetry and drawings/paintings. According to her, the number of nominees for this award is up to me 🙂

The One lovely Blog Award by Francina, who has a wonderful blog with English and Dutch poetry! There apparently are no real rules for this award and there are no requirements for how many nominations should be spread.

The Genuine Blogger Award by Betty Hayes Albright raindancepoetry a great poet,  no rules for this award and there are no requirements for how many nominations should be spread also.

and while I am working on this posting, Parry, again a wonderful poet, gave me the Versatile Blogger Award

which I already was nominated for, so I just put the link to my posting here if you don’t mind : versatile blogger award posting

I would love to pass these awards on (and this list will be longer in future! ):

The Jennifer Avventura Appreciation Award

The Jennifer Avventura Reader Appreciation Award <” > passed on the Jennifer Avventura Appreciation Award to me, thank you very much Harry!

It is a nice idea to put the commenters on blogs in the spotlight, esp. because those who are generous enough to respond with a comment, often have interesting blogs themselves I learned! I can honestly say, if it hadn’t been for the support of commenters, I would not have written and posted the 300+ poems here. It is inspiring to find others also enjoying, for instance, poetry.

Now I know not everyone likes getting awards; if you are nominated and don’t like it, I do appologize.

The rules for this award:

Award your top 6 bloggers who have commented the most.
Be thankful.
You cannot award someone who has already been awarded. And you cannot give the award back to me.
Don’t forget to tell the bloggers you’ve awarded.
If you don’t want to pass on this award, that’s okay to. Just admire it.
Link to back to the person from which you received it.

The Reader Appreciation Award goes to:

The person with the most comments here on the blog according to wp site stats, is Belfast David, someone dear to many people and a very good poet, but he has already been nominated by dribblingpensioner. 🙂 So no way José!

ThinkerBelle (Private blog)
Christine (Journeyintopoetry) , a wonderful lady with a great heart and great talent!
Becoming Herself, she is amazing, her postings are intelligent and deep and her comments a treat!
LatterdayPsalmist, a very good writer!
GoneCycling again, he has many talents!
countingducks, great blogger!

For some reason, I can’t link the urls at the moment, maybe it is wp, maybe it is me; I will keep trying. For the moment: Just copy and paste them I suppose!
