At least

Before the babies we went walking
through the landscape of your youth,
wading in waters of a small river
that would never make it to the sea.
All seemed perfect enough that carefree Summer.
We spent nights in a tent together.
We got rings. Was it not a milestone?
No need to put a stone here, you said.
Let at least the river run free.

  1. Indeed, milestones do clog things up. Good title for this one.

  2. It isn’t just the moment, but the light you cast on it, and I always so love the way you illuminate things πŸ™‚

  3. I love the feelings here. It is beautiful.

  4. I’m always struck by your poetry, but at some times more than others. Like now.

  5. A master of words! Or mistress if you like the distinction between the the two! You are writing some fantastic poems Ina! They should all be collected for another book 😊 L&H xx

    • Thank you very much! In March next year 2 are due together, they are already in the process, but perhaps another one will follow πŸ™‚ Not sure! L&H xx
