Important

Sleep for the newborn’s parents,
peace for the long overdue guilt,
food at times; more we don’t need.
More we don’t have at times.

The grandchild we can witness,
the day beginning with the best
of sunrises, a night of pain
ending with new life.

What could be more important
than being part of this?
Peace for the long overdue guilt.
Sleep for the newborn’s parents.

  1. Warmest congratulations Ina for your new grandchild and welcome to this crazy planet little one. The “overdue guilt” is a mystery but I know and feel the rest so deeply. A beautiful paean to Life my friend xox

    • Hi John, thank you very much my friend 🙂 overdue guilt, I can try to explain but I don’t think I shall, nothing serious, just the everlasting question: did I do my best enough 🙂 She was born yesterday, we are very happy. She probably comes home today! Can’t wait to meet her! 🙂 xxx

  2. Congratulations Ina! Nothing feels more important than this! I recognise the feeling 😊 xx L&H xx

    • Hi Christine, thank you 🙂 A little baby puts everything in the right perspective! What to focus on: well – her! And everything else needs to wait! L&H xx

  3. Congratulations, Ina! Nothing more important than bringing another life into the world with all the love and care your little granddaughter will have, and for that you need not feel any guilt! (And, just remember, some things are not in our control … but love is a powerful force for change) XO ♥

    • Hi Diane, thank you so very much, your words mean a lot to me 🙂 A new life is so precious! ♥
