Messengers

9maart14 026

So many birds came by my side, near to the sea
and every one took just one thought, one sigh of me.
As feathers ruffled over me, they promised to
bring all my greetings, take my everlasting love to you.

So there they went, they soon flew out of sight.
If one has reached its destination, might
it be the black gull with the last thought that I sent,
because of all the thoughts, it is the dearest one that went.

  3. Strange – on the first read-through I didn’t like this poem, but the more I read it the more I like it. πŸ™‚

  4. You have a gift for writing poems that seem simple at first read, but are full of deep meanings and truth. I loved this one. N.x
