From one place to another, fine.
Goodbyes to make us find some comfort in cold phrases.
Has anyone returned to where he started really?
An astronaut is younger ’cause he has been to space.
The world spins on during our absence
and overgrown the crumbling path will move
while bending slowly for a new direction.
We can’t come back.
Our feet are new by every step.
I watch you walk out of the street and you get smaller.
So this new sunlight shines and hurts
as you leave where we once made our start.
Though we don’t say the words, both know
this is a silver ending.
