Their moment

But watch her now she thinks she is alone.
The way her shoulders fall so tired,
her hands are trembling as they reach
for the photo frame, she smiles.
Do not disturb her in this moment.
She is with him now in her thoughts,
warm sunlight shines over her white hair,
she shivers as he touches her this way,
their daily ritual before you, nurse,
bring in the hated pills to swallow.
You might catch something of her look
that really was just meant for him
before the shadows fill the room
to start another quiet day. Sedated.
