Crisis conference

I watch her hands as she talks,
she gives every word she speaks
about the crisis a gesture.
Her hands are birds in a ballet,
thoughts on wings in dusty sunlight.
When they have taken a bow,
the stage is a worn out table again,
and the sun is gone.

  1. Terrific poem!

“Thoughts on wings in dusty sunlight” – fabulous line!

I have to admit I have a feputation for “talking”with my hands!! Lol

    L&H xx

    • πŸ™‚ it depends on the gestures they make whether that is good or bad I suppose πŸ™‚

      Thank you! πŸ™‚ L&H

  2. The “n” flew away with her thoughts!! Xx
    ,

  3. πŸ™‚ I also noticed “feputation” – another new word of mine. When will I learn to spellcheck before clicking “post comment”!!! I think its a case of old dogs and new tricks! Lol

    Xx

  4. Perhaps she is Italian. We are notorious for speaking with gestures.

    • No, she was from Brabant if I had her accent right. πŸ™‚ I noticed her hands as they were very small, quick and vivid πŸ™‚ (this really happend)

  5. I notice people who speak in a crisis situation, tend to speak elaborately with their hands as to amplify their words. A case of reading body language

  6. lovely use of images.

  7. I admire your ability to describe people and things that are so difficult to describe in a compelling way…You make it look so easy to do πŸ™‚
