Basic weather poem

Rise and look
rainy day
put on coat
find warm socks
look for shoes
go outside

rain has stopped
oh how nice
it is hot
go inside

take off coat
take off socks
Summer shoes!
go outside

it pours now
go inside
just give up

go to bed.

  1. Woke up, fell out of bed
Dragged a comb across my head
Found my way downstairs and drank a cup
And looking up, I noticed I was late
Found my coat and grabbed my hat
Made the bus in seconds flat
Found my way upstairs and had a smoke
And somebody spoke and I went into a dream

    reminds of these Beatles lyrics

aww so I take it you have bad weather there too? Here I think we might get some Summer next week! Finally! The mushrooms are already growing in the dunes lol.

  5. I think I’d better stop reading now, Ina. It’s late, and you’ve given me a lot to smile about tonight. Thanks. This is just a wonderful, wonderful, splendiferous poem.

  6. Lighthearted, and, well, sleep is ALWAYS a good option!

We finally had a downpour for hours overnight, atfter months of drought; so your writing about rain was really appropriate for my day!

    • Hi Diane,
Sometimes rain is a blessing! At the moment we are having some real Summer here, and love it. (temp not above 20 C lol so not too hot) but most of the time we had showers
