Walking on

Along my walk I stop to listen.
Suddenly I sense the joy
of life surrounding me.
A lark is singing.

Some birds fly over
sharing their bright company.
To be a part of it!

So this is all, this is my truth,
The clutter gone, the air is clean.
I walk on and tree by tree
Iā€™m coming home.

  1. The last part was my last small stone for the River of Stones. All of my small stones are here:

and on the site of Writing our way home šŸ™‚ http://www.writingourwayhome.com/2012/01/river-of-stones-post-your-31st-jan.html

I took the picture standing on the dune behind our house, overlooking the Groene Strand. (West Terschelling).

The inspiration for this poem came from Walter Smith’s image http://walterwsmith.wordpress.com/2012/01/31/to-the-right-side-of-my-design-a-force-of-nature-remix/ šŸ™‚

  2. I think we all want the clutter gone. Beautiful

    • Hi Fred, thank you very much. A walk can give you the feeling that so much in our head is not important! šŸ™‚

  3. I envy you that walk behind your home

Perfect place to go to leave the clutter behind and restore yourself šŸ™‚

  4. Lovely Ina, well done.

  5. To me it looks like you’ve found a way of accessing your poetic thoughts and writing them before you over analyze them. It’s a gift.

  6. Very nice poem Ina.

  7. Oh what a beauty Ina …..humming,lost in some random thoughts, enjoying the greens, the songs, the chirpings, the breeze the way nature caresses ..its amazing how a hug from nature can bring joy and contentment šŸ™‚
