alone I walk

alone I walk over a silent beach
where once we played as children
our footprints are no longer here
but I keep looking for them still
each of our childhood days I find
in sand and salty memories in time

  1. Wow. What a beautiful beach. I can feel the memories. Lovely poem Ina.

    • Hi walter, thank you very much! The beach is completely deserted this time of year and it is great for doing some thinking πŸ™‚

  2. Beautiful nostalgic writing dear friend
Alas our childhood fades as we face the setting sun
But memorys linger in our hearts eternal
    Well written Ina

  5. Hi Ina,
happy New Year. Thanks for stopping by my blog. I have somewhat different footprints, but that is the beauty of being a human and a poet, yes?

  6. Your poem, as we always hope our poems do, leaves memorable foortprints in hearts besides your own.

  7. Thank you very much bardess for this wonderful comment. πŸ™‚
