Cats and dogs

I poured my love for you and it rained
in the street where the beer also died
Just a few moments we hold each other in freight
in a mist of not being sures.
And already we walked on, not in pace.
My step slower than yours.
When it rains, to me it still  pours.

  1. i love the last line “When it rains, to me it still pours.” something about it is so melodious 🙂 xx

  2. Gave me a feeling of togetherness and incongruity in the dynamics between the narrator and “her” object. Nicely done.

  3. Hi, Ina – I love the way you have woven rain, mist and the the different meanings of ‘pouring’ through this poem. Rain pouring, tears pouring, love pouring…how memories are evoked. All in a short poem! Lovely.

  4. Thank you very much, I didn’t think of the tears, but yes, they also poured!

Well it was a humid Summer…?

  5. So few words, so much said.

    My sort of poem

    Love
    David

    • You have no idea how relieved I am lol. I never know if it is okay 🙂
      Thank you very much 🙂
      Love
      Ina

  6. I agree with everything that has been said above Ina, a wonderful poem; as David says short but so full of meaning.

    Love and (HUGS)
