No one is like you

~{}~

no one is like you

no one

your words are not the same

their eyes see things differently

no one says my name

like you did

no one is so dead

as you are

now

A poem which made me catch my breath.

    So very, very powerful.

    So very, very sad.

  2. This snatched my heart and twisted. Beautiful and sad.

  3. Began powerfully, and ended with a sad power! Nicely done, Ina!

  4. First I guessed a no turning back situation… But are you sure about the “dead” thing? “No one is like you”!

  5. Wow, so sad but even wonderful in it’s sadness.

  6. very strong emotions,
    well done.

  7. Oh My I lost my muse once too.. I miss my Sam.. I hope you find outlets for your grief..Keep writing it heals and then it is written into your core and becomes a sliver shining ribbon intertwined into your uniqueness.

    Awesome write..

    Jen.

    • Hi Jennirey, sorry to hear about your loss.
This poem was inspired by the loss of a dear one, but not a lover. (my father actually)
Thank you very much for your comment.

  8. Crushing absence felt in these words. You add beauty to sorrow ~ Rose

  9. The end caught me unprepared, the first few words made me think it will be a grand dedication with happy end … Well done, surprise is always effective in reading!

  10. Ah! I started reading it thinking it’d be just another love poem. It is , indeed a love poem, but the angst makes it more beautiful!

  11. we always miss those whose words make us feel so blessed. I love this one. Hugggs 🙂

  12. Ina… this is interesting… it can either be a beautiful love poem, or a strong hate poem… I love this duality … beautiful.

  13. heartbreaking yet beautifully described..

A word meaning also depends on who uttered it. Sigh, the complexities of social interaction. 😦

  25. Saaad!! Falls like a thud on the head.. Oh my gawd! This is called the sound of words.

Heart-wrenching but in a very beautiful way.

  28. The structure of the poem makes it very abrupt at the end, just like death, illustrating the sadness well. Heart-wrenching, but very well written.

  29. Beautifully sad.
